Hi. Joe

I’m not a financial advisor. I don’t wear suits, manage hedge funds, or have three monitors flashing stock tickers. I’m just a regular dad in the middle of a regular life, trying to figure money out like everyone else. I’m a regular average Joe.

I’m 50, with a family, kids in college and high school, a sizable mortgage, and a not-so-sizable retirement account that sometimes feels behind schedule. I listen to podcasts, scroll through TikToks, read the articles, and watch the talking heads. And honestly? Most of it feels either too good to be true, completely out of reach, or just not made for the average person trying to get by.

That’s why I started In The Middle Money. It’s for people like us — the ones in the middle. Not rich, not broke, not retiring early sipping drinks on a beach. Just real people juggling careers, kids, aging parents, health, and the daily math of “can we afford this?” or trying to figure out what a Roth IRA is.

Here you’ll find what I learn, what actually makes sense, and what doesn’t. No hype, no impossible promises, no judgment for starting late. Just practical money talk for the rest of us stuck in the middle and figuring things out the best that we can.

Joe
